MICHELLE DOWNS: MY GRANDPA ALBERT

MY GRANDPA ALBERT

A MAN WITH SO MUCH DIGNATY,
AND THE APPLE OF MY EYE.
YOU TAUGHT US HOW TO TIE OUR SHOES,
AND THAT WE SHOULD NEVER LIE.
YOU CATERED TO OUR EVERY WIM,
IN GOOD TIMES AND IN BAD.
YOU WERE THE ONE TO WIPE OUR TEARS,
WHEN WE WERE FEELING SAD.
YOU SET THE HIGHEST STANDARDS,
AND WERE NEVER QUICK TO JUDGE.
YOU TAUGHT US ABOUT KINDNESS,
AND ALWAYS RESPECTED US WITH LOVE.
GRANDPA, YOUR MY HERO,
AND IT'S HARD TO SAY GOODBYE.
BUT HEAVENLY FATHER NEEDS YOU NOW,
CAUSE YOUR SUCH A SUPER GUY.
HE PICKS THE SPECIAL PEOPLE,
TO HELP HIM UP ABOVE.
I'M SURE HE HAS SO MUCH TO DO,
TO SEND OUT ALL HIS LOVE.
THERE ARE SO MANY MEMORIES,
OF ALL THE GOOD YOU'VE DONE.
WE'LL CHERISH EVERY MOMENT,
AND STILL THE ONES TO COME.
I'M GLAD YOU ARE IN HEAVEN,
TO WATCH DOWN ON ME BELOW.
YOU MADE ME FEEL SO SPECIAL,
AND YOU FILLED MY HEART SO FULL.
THANKYOU FOR THE HAPPINESS,
AND ALL THE SPECIAL THINGS.
I'LL MISS YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY,
AND PRAY FOR ALL GREAT THINGS.
GOODBYE UNTIL WE MEEN AGAIN,
UPON THAT SUNNY PATH.
REJOICE IN YOUR NEW LIFE WITH GOD,
"I LOVE YOU" MY SWEET DAD.

ALBERT GEORGE HUNT 1911 TO 1997

                      MICHELLE DOWNS
