Jonathan H. Crouthamel: HATE

Hate

Anger, angst, aging rage
beat you down, your life I tap
savor sweet, succor pain
twist the neck, feel the snap.

Burn, blistered, battered soul
take desire, leave no hope
breathe no more, die alone
chain you down, tie the rope.

Suffer, scourge, sudden death
owning torment, ceasing heart
die in rot, feed the worm
ever grief, die depart.
