Nicole Eaton: THE DREAM I DREAMT

The Dream I Dreamt

A dream I had the other night,
Full of terror and of fright.
The face I saw, not a happy one,
A face of pain long been done.
A mirror image of my face,
What a dream; an ugly place.
Anger and fear in the eyes,
Rain and darkness filled the skies.
What you ask after that?
The smile of an evil cat.
Eyes that glow and teeth that shine
An image that was so defined.
What came next you want to know?
Through the heart with an arrow.
Shot was he and gone for good
Bring him back, I knew I should.
The smile that had once shown
Was only a memory now blown.
