V. KORCHAGIN: "Yes, Don Quixote Made a Mistake"

"Yes, Don Quixote Made a Mistake"

(From Platon Voronko)
Yes, Don Quixote made a mistake,
He missed,
Taking a shield – his strong imagination, –
For those people, knowing not bliss,
He rose a sharp spear of perfection.
They tossed with laugh –
The cold plates of faces,
But he was burning in the flames of right.
…Oh, mind of mine!
Miss in the way such blessed!
Let me have ever a mistake so bright!

Translated by Yevgeny Bonver, June, 2001
